Misty morning in Frangokastello!

The village has woken to its first misty summer morning, with fog blanketing even the castle of Frangokastello. Visibility was low due to heavy fog that lifted after ten o'clock in the morning, followed by sunny spells. Gavdos and Gavdopoula still remain elusive!

After digging for 6 hours and extracting 196 individual pool mosaic tiles, a childhood dream came true, I finally know how it is to be an archaeologist!!! 

Still no fossils found, that’s a real bummer

Northwest but with gusts all over the place... so much so, that we have salt on our car, in our parking lot in Frangokastello. A rare phenomenon, is the first time we see something like this!
